The result is an excellent range of extra virgin olive oil with the highest quality and excellent properties, grown and harvested in the Corfiot land, full of centenary olive groves that watch the time passing by.

What to expect in our South of Corfu Private Tour

In this private tour to the South of Corfu Island you will discover Corfu’s best kept traditions: visit small villages and walk around small squares and alleys; enter an olive oil production estate, admire the ancient olive oil trees from close, and taste their extra virgin olive oil. See and visit a Byzantine castle, taste homemade Greek red and white wine at a traditional vineyard, and swim on a beautiful sandy beach located in a natural park.

South of Corfu Private Tour program

We will pick you up from the ship dock, or from your accommodation, and drive South by the west coast road to admire the landscape among the olive groves.

The first stop will be at a local olive oil estate: you will visit the ancient olive groves, and the production area, and taste their excellent olive oil, full of beneficial properties.

On our way to the beach, we will stop at Gardiki Byzantine Castle, the Byzantine fortress that defended the Island from the attacks coming from the South.

Next, beach time! We will go to Chalikounas Beach for, at least, two hours, where you will enjoy the greatness of the Ionian Sea in an undeveloped area, surrendered by sandy dunes, Juniper trees, and Lake Korission, a natural lake full of birds and other fauna. There are two beach bars only on the whole area, and we can book sunbeds and umbrellas for your highest comfort, or just walk along the seaside and feel the peace and the sea breeze…

After our leisurely time at Chalikounas Beach, we will drive towards a small family vineyard. The owners will guide us around the premises and let us know about the traditional ways of production. Their wine, while homemade and in a very small quantity, has great quality and has been awarded for its excellent taste and quality, which we will also try together with a small snack as well.

Visit Chlomos village, a beautiful and tranquil location. With tiny houses of the Venetian era (circa 1500), and built on a green and lush hill, you will explore its narrow streets and reach the top of the village. From there, you will admire the East and West of Corfu, and the sight may reach the Old Town as well!
