A drink in your hand, relaxing music, and you resting in a lounge chair in front of an amazing view… Sound like a plan to you? Or would you prefer a beach party under the full moon? Even while Corfu’s nightlife may not be as well-known as that of other islands, there is still a lot going on after dusk.
Many things make Corfu famous, including the Old Town, the breathtaking sea and landscapes, the sunset, and more. Some individuals could believe that Corfu nightlife is not one of these things. But these people are in fact mistaken…
Take a look at our guide to Corfu Nightlife options and choose your favourite place.
You can pick a beach bar to spend the day on the beach listening to nice music and having a cold beer and good finger food without leaving your sunbed; a few hours later you may admire the sunset and have a last cocktail before going back home, or stay a bit longer and have a real beach party!
Imabari, in Faliraki (Old Town)
Mikro Nisi (Ag. Gordios Lefkimmis)
Sirens Beach Bar & Bistro (Marathias)
Apart from the clubs and the beach bars, Corfu Nightlife is lively all year round. The Old Town has a number of places to listen to good music -depending on your taste, of course! and have a very well-prepared cocktail in a good atmosphere from early afternoon until late at night. Some of the best barmen in Greece are in Corfu and there are tastes to be discovered. Have you tried the Kumquat cocktail?
The bars and cafes in the Liston area are a good choice for all ages at any time of the day. Be patient if you have to wait until you get a table during the high season! Taking a walk into the Old Town alleys you will find lively bars full of customers, sitting at the tables on the road. We recommend Amaze, Bristol, and Chavez Drinkeria with a popular atmosphere, and Eraldikon, Iznogood, Alekas and Arthaus for a more rock or bohemian ambience. Let´s not forget the Tsipouradiko area, located in the heart of Spilia, where many students and tourists gather to have cheap drinks, grab a Greek mezze and chat until late at night.
If you’re looking for real clubbing and DJs, Corfu is also a place to be. No matter where you will be staying or how old you are, there is a club open till late or a good party to go to close to you. One thing’s for sure: the music will surprise you. Some Corfu Clubs don’t only play mainstream dance music, but not only. There may be a moment in the night when you will see Greeks jumping onto tables and dancing to Eastern rhythms you have never heard before. This doesn’t happen everywhere, don’t worry if you’re not into hip dancing!
Many of the best international DJs visit the island during the summer season. Satoshi Tomiie, Ellen Alien, Dubfire, Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz, and Armin van Buuren are some of the names that have performed recently in Corfu.
Some of the beach bars we mentioned above stay open until late and organize parties during the summer. Now we have also added the bigger clubs with a regular party or DJ program. Don’t forget that the clubs in Corfu Town are open all year long, but the ones at the resorts will close for the low season by September or October. Corfu Nightlife never stops, it just slows down during the winter.
Let’s go clubbing around the island!

There aren’t many live music venues in Corfu. Resort bars and hotels usually have a live music schedule, mostly addressed to tourists who enjoy Corfu Nightlife during their holidays.
The Old Fortress is an exceptional stage for live music, with great acoustics and stunning surroundings. Jazz, rock, alternative music or classical music are some of the big open-air events you can witness in the summer. If we’re talking about punk, rock, reggae, folklore, or other classic sounds of the 20th Century, we recommend you check the following venues:
If you’re a clubber you won’t miss the festivals that take place in Corfu during the summer. The most renowned one is the Phaex Festival, an event that brings together electronic music culture and historical locations every August.
If you prefer a more traditional enjoyment, a Greek Night in Corfu is the best choice for you.
Each Greek Island has a different folklore. Corfiot music and dance have a great influence on Italian tradition, due to the four centuries of Venetian occupation. Their songs and costumes are very different from the rest of Greece and look more Mediterranean than the rest, and you will find it in many corners of the Island. These events have no age restrictions and you can join with the whole family.
Some traditional Corfiot taverns organize Greek Night Parties, which include live music and a dancers’ show during your meal. You can join them and learn to dance the traditional Greek and Corfiot choreography! The best place is Tripas Tavern (you can book your dinner here and dance until midnight). La Pergola, in the Jewish Quarter, has live traditional music during the summer evenings. Also, there are some taverns where you will be entertained with fire dancing. They say that sometimes the dancers pick the tables on fire with their teeth!
We’re sure that this guide to Corfu Nightlife will help you to choose the best place for a drink, a cocktail or any kind of party. If you find any other interesting place, contact us and we will add it to this post.
