Paleokastritsa Bay in Corfu, one of our favorite destinations!
The excursion begins with the pickup from your chosen location (port dock, airport, port, or accommodation). We will start the day by visiting Paleokastritsa Bay, an area also known as “The Greek Capri”, on the Northwest coast of Corfu.
Paleokastritsa is a picturesque bay where olive groves melt with bougainvilleas, lemon trees, and hibiscus until they literally reach the sea slipping off rocky cliffs. The area is surrounded by beautiful coves, some of them reachable by sea only, and the emerald crystal-clear waters hide plenty of underwater wildlife.
Take your time to enjoy and admire the area by swimming or sunbathing on the beach, having a coffee in one of the nearby taverns and cafeterias, or also taking a ride to visit the Blue Caves, where the myth tells Ulysses met princess Nausica on his trip back from the Trojan War. From the boats, you’ll also enjoy a privileged view of the whole bay, as seen from the sea.
You can also visit the Monastery of the Virgin Mary, founded in the 13th century and located on an uphill at the top of the bay. The views and gardens of this Orthodox building recall the earthly paradise. Take your time to admire the ancient icons in the church and the lovely jasmin and bougainvilleas that decorate and cover all the walls.

You will also visit one of Corfu’s enchantingly colorful villages, Lakones, with one of the finest panoramic views in Europe. You can’t miss the view of the heart-shaped bay, as well as the numerous coves that create funny shapes on the whole coastline. Take your time to relax and admire the marvels of Nature and enjoy an optional meal or coffee at one of the local taverns with a view.
The Canal D’Amour in Sidari, Corfu
A few minutes later, one of the most awaited stops of our Grand Island Tour of Corfu will come: Sidari’s Canal D’Amour, a beach where Nature and the Ionian Sea have created fantastic rock cliffs with extravagant shapes that alternate funny colors: green, yellow, orange, sienna… Indeed, this one is one of the most popular spots on the whole island, and everyone yearns for the best picture to post on their social media, together with their beloved one, in the Canal D’Amour!

Our route continues to the mountain villages and glorious views of northwestern Corfu until Kassiopi. This one is a beautiful village, famous for its traditional harbor and relaxing atmosphere. Here, many small fishing boats alternate with expensive yachts. The promenade is the perfect place to have a nice walk, order a coffee in one of the many cafes, or also visit the ancient Castle of Kassiopi, from the Byzantine era.
